Kindergarten – Puppet Play

Last week our little ones enjoyed the puppet play, ‘The Golden Ball’ presented by their teachers.

Puppetry is common in Waldorf schools because it helps children develop their imagination and fantasy. Puppet plays are simple and calm, which allows children to follow the story step by step. Children love stories and visual portrayals of stories, especially stories they have heard several times. Puppet shows can stimulate children’s fantasy and strengthen their life forces.

Rudolf Steiner, said, “We must do everything in our power to help the children to develop fantasy”.
